ROCKFORD, IL — June 29, 2023 — The WATT Global Media annual company meeting was held on May 15-17, 2023, at the Embassy Suites in Rockford.
“The company annual meeting brings together all staff members once each year to learn, share, connect with each other, and further strengthen our Results-Only-Work Environment (ROWE) which drives our unique culture and business growth,” said Greg Watt, president/CEO of WATT Global Media.
The kick-off session on Monday, May 15, introduced CPR/AED skills from professional instructors affiliated with APHE Illinois LLC, American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, & PALS Training, and American Red Cross Emergency Response Licensed Training providers from Delafield, WI. Employees received a two-year certification effective immediately. Employees then gathered to socialize and reconnect at Garrett’s Restaurant & Bar for dinner.
The opening session on Tuesday, May 16, included cross-functional team discussions, sharing ideas on the hot topic of Generative AI. Many creative employee suggestions were received, and evaluation as well as implementation of ideas is underway. Staff presentations on new strategic initiatives followed the sessions. Guest speaker, Elliot Kohl, CultureRx, was a featured keynote who reviewed a recent employee survey and shared insights for managing in a Results-Only-Work Environment. To conclude the second day’s activities, employees were offered the choice to network at the Beloit Sky-Carp baseball game or during a dine-around at local Rockford restaurants.
Closing out the meeting on Wednesday, May 17, keynote speaker Dr. Mandolen Mull presented an educational and inspiring interactive topic focusing on how to have “courageous conversations.”
