Rockford, IL – May 21, 2017 – China’s broiler and layer industry leaders will meet and collaborate to advance the long-term sustainable development of the Chinese poultry industry at International Poultry Forum China 2017, scheduled for July 7-8, at the Shanghai Marriott Hotel Hongquiao.

More than 200 professionals from China’s top broiler and egg producers, the China Broiler Alliance, and the poultry supply chain are expected to attend this two-day educational and networking forum.

Respected subject matter experts from around the world will provide presentations focused on three themes: “Intelligence Poultry Industry Engineering in the Era of Agriculture,” “Comprehensive Precision Production System Construction” and “Intelligent Technology and Food in the Future”.

Gary McMurray, Division Chief of the Food Processing Technology Division at Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI), will discuss the robotics, sensor, and yield scanning technology research Georgia Tech is conducting for the poultry industry.

McMurray has led the development of advanced robotic systems for the food, transportation and biomedical industries. He is in charge of the GTRI Division that conducts significant industrial research under Georgia’s Traditional Industries Program and leads the Division’s efforts for identifying and marketing new research opportunities. McMurray has led research teams that have resulted in commercial systems as well as basic research that is critical to saving the industry millions of dollars and fundamental research that has broad application in other application areas.
