KANSAS CITY, Missouri — May 9, 2023 — Petfood Forum 2024 attracted a record number of attendees with more than 3,900 pet food professionals from 48 countries on April 29-May 1, at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.

Hundreds of pet food companies were represented including Annamaet Petfoods, Arm & Hammer, Bewital petfood, Blue Buffalo, Bond Pet Foods, BrightPet Nutrition Group, Champion Petfoods, Elmira Pet Products, Earth Animal, Freshpet, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Instinct Pet Food, Mars Petcare, Open Farm Pet, Nulo Pet Food, Petcurean Pet Nutrition, Royal Canin, saturn petcare, Tuffy’s Pet Foods, Wellness Pet Company, and many others.

Keynote Daniel Levine, director of the Avant-Guide Institute, opened the conference on April 29 by discussing 6 approaching mindset trends to turbocharge pet food business, and Tamara Ghandour, founder of LaunchStreet, laid the foundation for attendees to unlock their innovative minds to perform at their peak during her keynote presentation on May 1.

Additionally, over 30 globally recognized presenters shared new research and data on a variety of topics including strategic insights for the pet food market, 6 hazards of emerging concern in pet food, insect protein for companion animals, 5 questions for successful new pet treat development, automating pet food quality control, and much more. The conference concluded with a panel discussion on making sustainable pet food.

The 2024 event featured an expanded exhibit hall floor where attendees engaged with over 390 supplier companies. Many longtime exhibitors were present including 3D Corporate Solutions, ADM, AFB International, Buhler, Camlin Fine Sciences, dsm-firmenich, Extru-Tech, Kemin Nutrisurance, Peel Plastics, The Peterson Company, Schenck Process, TC Transcontinental Packaging, Trouw Nutrition, Wenger and Wilbur-Ellis. Over 60 first-time exhibiting companies joined this year including American Packaging Corporation, BHJ, Bluegrass Ingredients, Donaldson, Ecolab, Leiber GmBH, NP Nutra, nVenia, Stolle Machinery, Uckele Health and Nutrition.

The interactive show floor also included the Pet Food Tech Talk stage and the Future of Pet Food Pavilion presenting the latest companion animal research and innovations. Additionally, the Women in Petfood Leadership Lunch ‘n Learn provided networking, mentorship and a presentation by Tamara Ghandour on how the workplace is changing.
