Tucker, Ga., – June 20, 2019 – The International Poultry Expo (IPE), part of the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE), WATT Global Media and the Latin American Poultry Association (ALA) announce the dates for the 2020 Latin American Poultry Summit, to be held Monday, Jan. 27, and Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020. The debut of the Latin American Poultry Summit at the 2019 IPPE was a great success, and the 2020 summit will build on this accomplishment.

The 2020 Latin American Poultry Summit will feature two discussion panels with the main broiler and egg producers in Latin America, leading industry experts who will address technical topics covering live production, and processing issues directed to changing consumer trends and the needs of greatest priority to Latin American poultry and egg professionals. The summit’s education sessions will cover broilers and layers, addressing topics such as welfare in poultry production, feed manufacturing and quality, poultry farm management and cleaning, innovations in health, biosecurity, gut health, stunning, deboning and carcass yield, breeder management and more.

Along with speakers discussing relevant topics affecting the Latin American poultry sector, the first full day will include lunch and a reception on Monday. Special recognition during the summit will also be provided for the Latin American Hall of Fame, founded in 1987 and presented by WATT Global Media and Industria Avícola magazine, to recognize people who have dedicated their lives to the advancement of the poultry industry in Latin America. Additionally, students and advisors participating in the USPOULTRY Foundation International Student Program will be recognized. This program, created six years ago, brings approximately two dozen Latin American students, with their advisors, to the IPPE annually.

The 2020 IPPE show dates are Jan. 28-30, and the event will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center. More information on the 2020 IPPE can be found at www.ippexpo.org.

AFIA members manufacture more than 75 percent of the feed and 70 percent of the non-grain ingredients used in the country. AFIA is also recognized as the leader on international industry developments and holds membership in the International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF).
