BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — March 4, 2024 — Registration is now open with early savings available for the 2024 Chicken Marketing Summit. The annual executive conference, hosted by WATT Global Media, is scheduled for July 29-31 at the Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa.

“The 2024 Chicken Marketing Summit will provide a unique look toward the future to help the chicken supply chain, from farm to processing plant to distribution center, prepare to meet the desires of tomorrow’s consumers and keep chicken as the top protein choice in the U.S.,” said Terrence O’Keefe, content director, WATT Global Media.

“For the first time, the conference agenda will feature two session tracks,” O’Keefe continued. “One track will focus on consumer trends of today, what will be expected in 2035 and how advancing digital technology will impact the way chicken will be sold and marketed in the future. The second track will explore how the industry will meet consumer expectations by adapting new and existing technologies to raise and process broilers, utilizing fewer resources combined with improved welfare, food safety and convenience.”

The 2024 conference will focus on the theme, “Chicken 2035: Anticipating Trends, Adapting Strategies.” Topics and speakers include: Meet your future consumer: Communications implications for your business, by Michele Murray, Ketchum; What Gen Z wants from chicken foodservice, by Chris Norton, Revenue Management Solution; AI in chicken marketing: Benefits, challenges and applications, by Hinda Mitchell and Hana Bieliauskas, Inspire PR Group; How will we define broiler welfare in 2035?, by Karen Christensen, Ph.D., Tyson Foods; Regenerative agriculture and ‘net zero’ by, Marty Matlock, Ph.D., University of Arkansas; and others.And back by popular demand, the results of the Chicken Consumption Survey will be revealed, answering questions on how to best reach today’s consumers.

Returning in 2024, the Chicken Marketer of the Year award will recognize organizations and companies that demonstrate excellence and innovation in promoting chicken consumption. Nominations are being accepted until May 1, 2024.

In addition to the educational sessions, the event will host in-person networking opportunities and will open on July 29 with the traditional Bill Roenigk Chicken Marketing Summit golf tournament.

The annual Chicken Marketing Summit is produced in collaboration with the National Chicken Council and with support from the National Protein and Food Distributors Association.
