Charleston, South Carolina – June 18, 2019 – Chicken Marketing Summit has confirmed Clint Rivers, Wayne Farms president and CEO, as the keynote speaker for the 2019 edition, scheduled for July 21-23, 2019 at the Belmond Charleston Place in Charleston, South Carolina. Registration is now open for the annual chicken industry executive conference.
“We are pleased to announce Clint Rivers as keynote speaker for Chicken Marketing Summit,” said Terrence O’Keefe, content director, WATT Global Media. “He will discuss the importance of meeting and exceeding customer needs in a marketplace with rapidly changing demands.”
Rivers will share important insights on how Wayne Farms, the nation’s seventh largest integrated poultry company, is working with customers to offer them choices and solutions that address their changing needs. One way Wayne Farms, a company that is known primarily as a supplier to foodservice businesses, is meeting the demands of today’s conscientious consumers is by changing the way its broilers are fed and raised as a point of product differentiation.
Rivers has more than 37 years of poultry industry experience and joined Wayne Farms in October 2012 as vice president and general manager of the Fresh Business Unit. In 2014, he was promoted to chief operating officer, and in 2017, promoted to president and chief executive officer.
Rivers is just one of the many dynamic speakers scheduled to present at Chicken Marketing Summit. Other speakers and panelists include: John Atkinson with PFSbrands, Maria Bailey with BSM Media, Michael Billings with ButcherBox, Laston Charriez with Pilgrim’s Pride, Chris DuBois with IRI, Kelly Fechner with Datassential, Julie Hamilton with The Coca-Cola Company, Mark Kaminsky with Koch Foods, Hinda Mitchell with Inspire PR Group, Meagan Nelson with Nielsen, Joyce Neth with WATT Global Media and Justin Sherrard with Rabobank.
In addition to valuable educational sessions focusing on this year’s theme of “Channels, Choices and Challengers,” the chicken industry’s only event focused on consumer trends and insights about their purchase of chicken meat will feature numerous networking opportunities for attendees and will close with the traditional Bill Roenigk golf tournament, which will be hosted at the Wild Dunes Links Golf Course.
