As part of IPPE in Atlanta, Ga., USA, the Latin American Poultry Summit focuses on leading technical topics covering live production and processing issues of greatest priority to Latin American poultry and egg producers and processors.
On Feb. 11 – 12, 2019, at the 2019 IPPE in Atlanta, Ga., USA, the Latin American Poultry Summit focused on leading technical topics covering live production and processing issues of greatest priority to Latin American poultry and egg producers and processors. This event built upon and expanded the “Poultry Seminar in Spanish” education program that has been conducted at the International Production & Processing Expo for several years. It is the largest of its kind, connecting industry leaders in the Latin American poultry industry with poultry researchers and experts in their fields.
The content focused on a variety of areas for broilers and layers. The summit brought together key researchers from universities and leaders from genetic companies, suppliers, integrators and commercial companies to learn, discuss and network.
Special recognition was also be provided for the Latin American Hall of Fame during the summit, founded and presented by WATT Global Media and Industria Avícola magazine, to recognize people who have dedicated their lives to the advancement of the poultry industry in Latin America. Additionally, students and advisors participating in the USPOULTRY Foundation International Student Program were recognized during the event.
Attendees of the Latin American Poultry Summit had an opportunity to access the IPPE show floor where they interacted and networked with producers from throughout the world, as well as see the latest technology for the feed, meat and poultry industries.
