Learn more about a learning-based image analysis multi-camera egg surveillance system capable of monitoring the main incoming house belt. A digital camera combined with artificial intelligence software captures multiple images per second from the conveyor belt and sends the images to a processor where they are analyzed by advanced vision technology software.
Roberto Taormina is president and chief R&D officer for ROTA Technologies with 12 years of experience in the poultry egg processing industry. He is the lead engineer of technical research and development in support of new product development efforts related to machine vision. He interfaces with internal and external stakeholders to advance key technical work streams and product design efforts. Taormina is responsible for technical evaluation in support of product design and improvements. He conducts risk evaluations of new product designs to determine potential failure modes and subsequent safeguards.
