Kansas City, Missouri – September 25, 2017 – Petfood Forum, the pet food industry’s must-attend event, has confirmed Jack Hanna and Brian Hare as keynote speakers for the 2018 edition, scheduled for April 23-25 in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.

Jack Hanna, conservationist and television personality, will kick off the morning sessions on April 24, 2018. Hanna will share fascinating details of his globetrotting experiences and inspirational stories dealing with issues of conservation, travel and wildlife. Attendees can also expect Hanna to include animals as part of his wildly entertaining presentation. As former director of the Columbus Zoo, Hanna led improvements to the zoo grounds, animal habitat and staff morale helping to increase attendance and local involvement. Hanna is the host of two-awarding winning televisions shows, “Jack Hanna’s into the Wild” and “Jack Hanna’s Wild Countdown,” reaching more than 2.5 million households each week.
To close the event, Brian Hare, PhD, will give a thought-provoking presentation on how dogs observe, understand and react to the world. Hare, who is an associate professor at Duke University and New York Times bestselling author, will discuss his recent research on canine cognition and his work determining dog’s individual cognitive styles. To increase the amount of dog behavioral data he has to work with, Hare co-founded Dognition. Dognition’s website allows dog owners to evaluate their canine companions using 10 games focused on empathy, communication, cunning, memory, reasoning and other factors.
