MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. — March 7, 2023 — For the second year, WATT Global Media will present the Chicken Marketer of the Year award during the annual Chicken Marketing Summit, with nominations being accepted until May 1, 2023. The executive conference is scheduled for July 31-August 2, 2023, at Hotel Effie Sandestin in Miramar Beach, Florida.

The Chicken Marketer of the Year award recognizes exceptional efforts from retail, foodservice, direct-to-consumer, producer/integrator organizations and companies who demonstrate innovative marketing and creative excellence in promoting chicken consumption.

“The Chicken Marketer of the Year award gives us the unique opportunity to celebrate companies who have been making a difference in our industry in efforts to keep chicken at the center of the plate,” said Elizabeth Doughman, managing editor of Poultry Future. “We look forward to honoring an organization that has gone above and beyond with its content marketing — whether in print or digital forms — to deliver better business results and by creating a higher industry standard for the way we market chicken.”

To enter, an organization can self-nominate or nominate another group or company. Participants are encouraged to share their stories as to why the nominee deserves to be named Chicken Marketer of the Year. Entries should describe and demonstrate how the nominated company or organization uniquely excelled as a chicken marketer during the 2022 calendar year.

The winning organization will be recognized during a trophy presentation at the 2023 Chicken Marketing Summit. A representative from the winning organization must be present at the conference and will receive a free registration, a two-night stay at Hotel Effie and reimbursement for coach airfare or for mileage driving to the event.

Chicken Marketing Summit is the essential networking and educational conference for poultry business leaders. Serving a unique cross-section of the chicken supply chain, the conference explores issues and trends in food marketing and consumer chicken consumption patterns and purchasing behavior. A series of educational sessions will focus on this year’s theme, “Appealing to cost-conscious consumers.”
