Summary:

Responsible for marketing, communications and event-specific projects resulting in growth of registrations and increased brand awareness for Petfood Forum and WATT-produced Agribusiness events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicates with external media partners and associations to promote events
  • Create content for ad materials and manage project plans for various marketing and live event activities
  • Development and execution of Email marketing plan for live events promotion utilizing best practices
  • Live Events Website content management and updates
  • Administers Petfood Forum and live events Social media pages
  • Develop content and execute E-newsletters for live events
  • Create content and manage production of Exhibitor and Sponsor marketing materials and prospectuses
  • Create content and manage production of Web and banner advertising
  • Create content and manage production of Print advertisements (house ads and in other publications)
  • Create content and manage production of Direct mail campaigns
  • Utilizes CRM (Netsuite) to input sales orders for house ads and email campaigns
  • Performs data analysis and analytics for marketing campaigns
  • Creates and distributes press releases
  • Facilitates customer service inquiries related to live event registrations
  • Attends Petfood Forum and key WATT events
  • Collaborates with Audience Development and Graphic Designers

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business and a minimum of three years’ experience in marketing, events, media or related fields

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic HTML skills, experience working in email platforms
  • Project management and organization skills
  • Ability to work in a self-directed and team-based environment to meet deadlines
  • Written and verbal communication skills to support marketing function, using tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner in dealing with internal and external contacts
  • Must demonstrate ability to work cooperatively with multi-generational and diverse population
  • Demonstrated skill to work on project coordination, creative writing content and administrative tasks

Working Relationships:

  • Internal – Sales staff, Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Manager of Global Events, Research and Audience Development staff, and Art Directors
  • External – Works with external media, professional associations, exhibitors and their representatives, and the general public

Budget Responsibility: Works with Director of Marketing on budget authorizations and expenditures. Is not authorized to work independently on financial commitments for budget, must receive approval.
